“Dr. Saad Saad: A Doctor For The People “

Dr. Saad Saad has always been a doctor for the people. Money was not the first reason for him to serve as a medical professional. Dr. Saad Saad is deeply affiliated with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, a non-profit organization that is focused on helping and providing medical care for the Arab children in the Middle East. The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund is focused on providing medical care where there is insufficient medical support and providing critical services where there are needs that are definitive of life and death. Dr. Saad Saad serves as an on-call doctor and surgeon for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and readily makes himself available in times of grave need. Here are some examples of his work with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund:

  1. There was a 15 year old boy that was gravely injured with a gunshot and his wound was in a sever condition. The local doctors of the area were only able to keep him alive but are not able to better his condition – in this case, Dr. Saad Saad was flown from the United States to offer his help. Dr. Saad Saad identified the child to be in a very severe condition and the body was in an extremely bad shape. The 15 year old body had a lot of holes in his belly because of the gunshot and this meant that he was also experiencing a difficulty in eating, besides the burns in his body. Dr. Saad Saad required a seven-hour surgery that had a lot of complexities in order to save the child. He patched up the holes whilst repairing all the internal injuries that the child has acquired. As expected from Dr. Saad Saad, the procedure was a complete success.
  2. Dr. Saad Saad also helped a girl that had her intestines exposed from the her stomach leaving her defenseless from infections. For almost two years, the local doctors were having a difficult time in giving the child the treatments she deserves and giving her a better quality of life. Dr. Saad Saad came to the rescue and was able to construct a “Fig Leaf Cover” to shield the exposed abdominal area. Dr. Saad Saad underwent a five hour surgery to complete the procedure, and it was yet another success for Dr. Saad Saad.
  3. Dr. Saad Saad also treated a boy that was involved in a bomb explosion that led to one of his legs being paralyzed. The boy was left continuing his life on a wheelchair. A nerve transplant was needed for him to regain control – Dr. Saad Saad is not a neurosurgeon, and so he found a capable doctor to do the surgery for the boy. To which he did, and the boy was able to regain control of his legs.
